Steve Saleen is one of the most famous automotive tuners in North America. Similar to Carole Shelby, the former race car driver turned businessman gained recognition through enhancements his company makes to certain cars, including the Ford Mustang.
Each new generation of the Mustang also signifies a new generation of Saleen, and the company has just unveiled its latest model, the Saleen 302.
Carefully Modified
Saleen has built a strong reputation in the high-performance vehicle niche due to its unique enhancements, and the new Saleen 302 Mustang is no exception. The tuner introduced its new car in its base variant at the Lemay Automobile Museum. Nonetheless, the vehicle remains nothing short of impressive!
The Mustang Saleen 302 White Label is based on the GT version. It is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine that has been upgraded to increase the power from 480 to 510 horsepower. The starting price for this version is $61,990 USD, which includes the car, naturally.
Saleen also offers two other variants of the 302, starting with the Yellow Label which includes a volumetric compressor. The power output jumps to 745 horsepower and 610 pound-feet of torque. The price also increases to $79,900 USD before options. Finally, the top-tier version is the Black Label, starting at $87,700 USD. If the volumetric compressor is added, the bill rises to $104,900 USD. The power also increases to 800 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque.
Hold on tight because Saleen's list of enhancements offered is quite extensive depending on the chosen version. Almost all exterior panels of the car have been changed or transformed. A Saleen is easily recognizable due to its sleek appearance and the massive flat spoiler. The car benefits from a new suspension as well as stunning 20-inch five-spoke wheels. Surprisingly, the interior cabin features the largest number of individual modifications. While color options are limited for the White Label and Yellow Label, the Black Label version offers access to a range of vibrant and less common colors.
The best part of all this is that all modifications made by Saleen to the car come with a 3-year or 36,000-mile warranty.
