The Ford Mustang is one of the most recognized and iconic cars in the automobile industry. It's also one of the oldest cars still in production today, which is why its anniversary shouldn't go unnoticed.

The American sports car is blowing out 60 candles this year, and Ford has decided to celebrate it with a special 60th-anniversary package. It's important to mention that this isn't a standalone version, but rather a set of options that can be added to the GT Premium version. Rest assured, it's not just a simple package of options that everyone can order in 2025. In fact, just like it was the case for the Mustang's 50th anniversary, this new special edition will have its production limited to a certain number of units. Not surprisingly, we're talking about 1965 units, which relates to the Mustang's first year/model.

Attention, enthusiasts of the model, because this new version of the muscle car comes with its share of exclusivities. This package can be accompanied by three body colors: Wimbledon White, Race Red, or Vapor Blue. The car receives several exclusive decals as well as a grille different from what is found on other versions of the Mustang. The decals are either red or silver depending on the body color, adding a retro touch to the car. This is exactly what the brand's designers intended by drawing inspiration from the first Mustang.

There are also some 60th-anniversary badges on the car, making it even more distinguishable from other variants of the Mustang.

Inside, there's a choice of Space Gray, Carmine Red, or Onyx Black finishes. The dashboard display has been modified to offer a more retro look, making it even more appealing for the model. Finally, there will be a numbered badge inside each car. This is the kind of thing Mustang enthusiasts are particularly fond of, especially when it comes to a special edition.

There are no changes on the mechanical side, which means that this special edition essentially benefits from the same mechanics found in the Mustang GT. It features a 5.0-liter V8 engine that produces 480 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque. Fortunately, you can still choose between the manual and automatic transmission.

The 60th-anniversary special edition Mustang offers several configuration choices, and I'm sure the most passionate enthusiasts will have fun listing each one to find the rarest combination.
