Just because it evolves in the form of a 100% electric SUV doesn\'t mean the Mustang Mach-E lacks a sporty spirit. In fact, the American manufacturer\'s SUV is capable of much more than going fast in a straight line, and that\'s what Ford wants to demonstrate with the all-new Rally edition.

This new variant of the Mustang Mach-E will offer enhanced off-road driving capabilities, especially on gravel, thanks to a suspension raised by 0.8 inches and additional underfloor protection plates. The model also benefits from a Brembo braking system with high-performance 385 mm discs. When it comes to tires, Michelin CrossClimate2 19-inch tires are fitted on all four corners of the vehicle, promising maximum grip on any surface. The Magneride suspension has also been specially calibrated for the type of driving the Mach-E Rally is expected to offer. In fact, the American manufacturer\'s SUV offers a unique Rallysport driving mode in the Ford lineup. This mode controls several elements that allow for wider slides and easier trajectory maintenance.

In terms of appearance, the Mustang Mach-E Rally will certainly turn heads with its 19-inch white wheels and more aggressive spoiler. Moreover, it seems that racing stripes will be available for the model. Fog lights are also integrated into the grille, a nice nod to the Mustang car.

Breath-taking Performance

Although the final numbers have not yet been unveiled, it is known that the Mustang Mach-E Rally will use the same mechanics as the GT version. This dual electric motor configuration will deliver at least 480 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque, according to the American manufacturer\'s claims. As for the battery pack, it boasts a capacity of 91 kWh, which is slightly smaller than the 98.8 kWh battery found in the GT version. Ford still announces a range of over 402 kilometers (250 miles) from a full charge for the model. Its architecture also allows for fast charging to recover from 10% to 80% of energy in less than 36 minutes at a compatible charging station.

The Rally version is expected to join the Mach-E lineup in early 2024. Ford also announces a starting price of $65,000 USD for our neighbors to the south. However, it is not known whether this new version of the Mach-E SUV will be available in Canada at the time of writing.
